    Math:

    Lesson 13-4: Use Models to Compare Fractions: Same Numerator

    Objective:
    Use models such as fraction strips to compare fractions that refer to the same whole and have the same numerator.

    Essential Understanding: If two fractions have the same numerator, the fraction with the greater denominator is the lesser fraction.

     

    Lessons 13-5 Compare Fractions: Use Benchmarks

    Objective:
     Use benchmark fractions to compare fractions.

    Essential Understanding: Benchmark numbers such as 0, 1/2, and 1 can be used to compare fractions.

     

    Lessons 13-6 Compare Fractions: Use the Number Line

    Objective:
     Use a number line to compare fractions.

    Essential Understanding:You can use a number line to compare fractions. 

     

    Lesson: 3-7 Whole Numbers and Fractions

    Objective:
     Use fraction names to represent whole numbers.

    Essential Understanding: Whole numbers can be represented by many different fraction names.
