I love working in the Long Beach Island Consolidated School District. I currently provide speech/language therapy services for students (Pre-K - 6th) at the Ethel A. Jacobsen School and the Long Beach Island Grade School. I received my B.A. in Communication Disorders from the University of Rhode Island and my M.A. in Speech/Language Pathology from The College of New Jersey. I currently hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in addition to NJ state and national certifications. I have had the pleasure of providing speech/language therapy services to children in the Early Intervention, educational, and clinical/medical settings. My goal is to help enrich the lives of children and their families through my work as a speech/language pathologist. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have questions concerning your child's speech and language development or if you have questions regarding the speech/language therapy program in the LBI Consolidated School District.
Suzanne D'Arcangelo M.A.,CCC-SLPEmail: sdarcangelo@lbischools.orgPhone: (609)494-2341Speech and language homework is one way to reinforce and carry-over what your child is learning in speech therapy. Taking a few minutes to do easy speech and language activities with your child can help his or her progress. Practice and consistency are key to helping your child progress toward their speech and language goals! The time your child spends in speech therapy is designed to establish a skill base for their area(s) of need. Much of the reinforcement and practice for these skills, however, needs to be done in other settings (i.e., classroom, home, etc.)
Please complete homework as it is assigned by the SLP. Please keep in mind though, even when no official homework is assigned, short and regular practice sessions are a valuable addition to your child's program.
Thank you for helping to support your child’s growth and development in the speech/language therapy program.
