Mrs. Esarey

Hi and Welcome!

My name is Sarah Esarey and I am a First Grade teacher here at Ethel Jacobsen Elementary School.  I graduated from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware where I recieved my degree with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  Since completion of my degree I have worked in a hospital setting, several non-public schools, and in a regular public school setting both as a special and regular education teacher.  I am proud to say that I have been teaching here on LBI for the past 11 years and I could not be happier!

I grew up on the water in Tuckerton Beach.  What I remember most about being a 6-7 year old was crafting, reading Archie comic books, playing outside on my boogie board, crabbing, and digging for clams with my feet.  I really enjoyed living on the water and look forward to sharing these memories with my friends in first grade.  Now as an adult, I live in the woods in Little Egg Harbor with my husband (Will), two awesome daughters (Charlotte and Cora--whom also attend school in the LBI School District), and my two nutty dogs (Daisy and Moby).

My goal as an educator is to maintain a safe, comfortable, and engaging learning environment where children can learn and grow academically, socially, and emotionally.  We achieve this by working together as a team: the family unit and the school unit!  When we work together, marvelous things happen... Just you wait and see!!
