Welcome to First Grade!In our classroom, I like to make sure every student feels at home. The classroom is laid out so students are able to learn in a comfortable and friendly environment. They are also able to comfortably share in open conversations and discussions. Every child will find success in not only academics, but also in everyday life skills, such as social interaction with peers. I promise you that your child will feel very much loved and will make gains both academically and socially! That I can promise you! I look forward to an amazing year with my new group of friends!HomeworkPlease note that every Monday the children will be given a Math sheet, a Reading Log and a Rapid Word sheet to complete by Friday. The children will have all week to practice and review math facts, log books read each night and practice their Red Words previously taught. If at any point your child feels overwhelmed, please drop me a line to let me know. Homework should not be a challenge of something new, but a review of skills already learned.
