Mrs. Boyd
An important thing to know about me is that I thoroughly enjoy my work! I learn something new from your children each day. I began teaching preschool at the Ethel Jacobsen School in 2012. Some time ago, I received my B.A in Visual Arts from Richard Stockton College. Returning to Stockton University to attain my Teacher Education Certification for Art K-12 and Elementary K-5, I realized my affinity for our youngest learners. While teaching, I attended Monmouth University for my P-3 Graduate Endorsement. I received my graduate certification in Special Education from Stockton University in order to facilitate our inclusive environment. As a philosophy for teaching and learning, I find that the desire to learn is innate, especially in very young learners. I am thrilled to be a part of your child’s school experiences and look forward to getting to know their unique talents. My interests outside of school include gardening, and art appreciation. I have raised and tagged Monarch butterflies for over 12 years. We have established the EJ School as a Monarch Way Station through an organization called Monarch Watch. Working with young learners fills my heart and makes me smile.
