Principal Supervisor of Special Education - Mr Frank Birney

   

Frank Birney earned a Masters in Educational Leadership from The College of New Jersey in 2010 and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Special Education from Temple University in 2003. Mr. Birney began serving the Long Beach Island Consolidated School District in September of 2014 as a Principal and Supervisor of Special Services. His New Jersey State Certifications include Principal, Supervisor, Elementary School Teacher, and Teacher of the Handicapped.Prior to joining the Long Beach Island Consolidated School team, Mr. Birney was a Director of Special Services in the Florence Township School District.

Prior to that experience, he taught in the Westampton Township School District where his assignments ranged from self-contained Behaviorally Disabled, Middle School resource replacement Math and ELA, and In-Class Support.

Mr.Birney is a passionate educator that believes all students have the ability to learn and grow academically, socially, and emotionally.  He believes in a collaborative approach to education with input from all stakeholders.
