    My goal for us this year is to learn and have fun. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you, and I look forward to a successful year together.

    Orton/Spelling- This week we will introduce our new spelling skill -tch, -ch Suggested words for practice (match, inch, hatch, ketchup, march, crunch) Red Words - (world, laugh ) Spelling Test- Friday, June 10th
     
    Social Studies- American Symbols, Landmarks
     
    Science- This week we will continue working on  Topic 5 Plants and Animals
     
     Homework
     
    Homework will be assigned nightly and will consist of 15-20 minutes of reading.  Students are encouraged to read daily and fill out their monthly reading log calendar.  Our goal is to read 300 minutes each month! Reading log calendars are due at the end of each month.  Also Monday-Thursday nights students will receive basic math fact practice or the daily math lesson assignment.  These assignments should take no more than 15 minutes.   There is no homework assigned over the weekend. Please check your child's agenda to view their assignments or notes from the teacher.
